Strange Love is a super low budget scene-by-scene remake of Stanley Kubrick’s Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964). A collaborative project by LA Art Girls, the remake presents a DIY gender-bender remix. Pieced together in an exquisite corpse-style collage, the film critically employs parody and nonsense to echo Kubrick’s critique of war culture.
